What is your Steam name: doctorwhofan66

What is your Steam ID: STEAM_1:1:58619454

What is your RP name: Colonel Oppy

How old are you: 18 Years Old

Do you have a microphone that you can use: Yes, and I use it often.

What kind of description can you provide of yourself: I am a kind and generous person outside of the roleplay scene, and while I've had a rougher past I have been trying my absolute hardest to represent myself in the best way. I am of course more serious in the roleplaying scene and more of a stickler for the rules than most. However, I believe that these traits are to my benefit and will all do me well if I were to reprise a position on the staff team. Not only that, but I confidently believe I am fun to be around and can help retain the player base by reaching out and making every player feel at home with Thunderbird.

How long have you played on our server: I have been playing this server for 53+ hours, which does not include the past years I have spent on the Thunderbird leadership and staff teams.

Why are you applying for staff: I am applying for staff as somebody who was previously Community Manager on the server, who was interested in backing up the already great staff team. While I do not expect to be immediately re-instated back onto the team and am willing to wait if need be for more moderation assistance. I will leave the judgment on the need of staff with the capable Head of Staff and team who runs it currently. The biggest reason is my dedication and willingness to assist the server and wanted to "throw my hat in the ring" per se.

Do you have any form of staff experience anywhere? If so, please describe: I definitely have experience being staff on Discord, Minecraft, and Garry's  Mod. I have been anywhere from Moderator to Manager roles and feel I can fill any role I am needed in. The best part about the experience I have gained over the years is that it is, for the most part, malleable and can be applied to a wide range of applications and positions I am needed in at a particular time. In regards to specifics themselves, I am more than willing to describe them in more depth if I were to have an interview about it.

Do you have any experience in ULX: Yes I do, due to my previous experiences as Moderator - Manager roles on not just Thunderbird but other RP servers as well.

Why should we make you staff over another candidate: I believe what separates me from other candidates is my familiarity with the staff who currently run the server and all of my past experience in being both Commander and Staff. My commander experience could be applied to being staff due to the elevated responsibilities and data tracking efforts that a commander would need to do day in and day out for the server.

A clone has just killed another clone. Some are calling it RDM, others say it was self-defense. You were not present when this occurred. How would you deal with this situation: I would provide a warning to both clones and remind them about the golden rule when roleplaying on Thunderbird. I would then most likely record their names and keep an eye on them for future troubles/blunders.

How do you deal with RDM: RDM would be punished pretty harshly, but would also depend on its severity. If it is one person it would result in a warning, multiple offenses and slaughters would probably result in a ban ranging from days to permanent. I would punish variably depending on the situation and depending on any staff punishment formats/baselines to follow.

What are your thoughts on using noclip to help your battalion win a fight: It should most definitely not be allowed and would most likely result in a strip of perms.

How would you use your staff powers if only you and two of your friends are on the server, with nobody else on: The same way I would if there were 10, 50, or 100 people. I would also not have any bias towards friends and treat them the same way as others would be if they were to break the rules. However, I am sure exceptions to this rule are possible depending on the context once again, but for the most part the same way I would normally treat a job like this is the same way I would treat it with a small number of people and or friends.

How should your personal views and opinions affect your job as staff: Personal views and opinions have their own place and not in the realm of moderation for the most part. I could understand if personal interpretation was used to determining punishments in particular situations. This would only occur if there were not particular punishment guidelines put into place. For the most part, you should keep your personal opinions out of the "justice" of the server in a sense, just like any other justice system.

If you could change one thing about the server, what would it be: The overall organization of certain roles/documents perhaps, and the frequency in which the forums are checked. I say none of this to attack any of the current staff but just a place in which the organization of the server itself can improve. As a staff member, I not only offer my services to assist in such things but to also discuss changes with the current staff team as well. Anything I might need to do to help the server prosper at the end of the day.

Why should you listen to upper staff, even when you think that you know more about the situation than they do: This is because that particular person is higher staff for a reason and like a lower-ranking trooper respects it's officers the same applies to the ladder of hierarchy in terms of the staff team.

Will you be unendingly subordinate to whichever supervisor we assign you to, should you become staff: Yes I will be completely subordinate to any and all staff members who surpass me. Not only that but I will use each interaction with them as a way to improve myself and learn more as a member of staff myself.

How willing are you to sacrifice personal time to attend to your duties as staff: I am extremely willing to sit out events and perhaps even take more time on the server on the side while focusing on my assignments at home as well.

I feel like you would make a good staff member as you are active, fair, and serious when you need to be.

The effort in this application is undeniably clear. Since the reboot of the server you've been active, level-headed, and more than patient despite once being a community-manager. I'm pleased to say that you've proven your value to the server and I would be happy to welcome you back aboard the staff team.

Best of luck.

As of this time, Commander Bacara is unable to post on the forums, thus, I will be commenting this in his place.

Oppy, you show yourself highly not only on the battlefield but off of it as well, and welcoming you back to staff would be fantastic.
